  • The Life of a NBA Coach

I'm looking to write a screenplay about a coach in the NBA. Does anyone know where I can find articles, videos, or anything to give me info on the basic day to day operations?

    Here's something I found on Google: http://www.sbnation.com/2014/2/27/54...nt-coach-diary

Sports news sites like ESPN have a ton of profiles on people. You may want to research certain individual coaches and see if there's any stories about them. Good luck!

There have been several books written by journalists who got to spend a year with a team.

"The Breaks of the Game" by David Halberstam is the most famous. It's considered one of the best sports books ever written.

"Seven Seconds or Less" by Jack McCallum is a more recent example of the genre.

Phil Jackson's "The Last Season" might be another good place to look, seeing as that it was actually written by a coach.
