  • Need help: Covert Scriptware to Final Draft...

I need to convert a Scriptware file to Final Draft. Can anyone give me a step-by-step instruction on how to do this? Your help is greatly appreciated. (No, really, it is.)

I don't have Scriptware, so I cannot check this matter out for you.

You will probably need to export the Scriptware file as Rich Text Format or as plain text, if Scriptware will let you do either.

    Then import into Final Draft.

Open your script. Export it as a final draft file and then the person with FD will have to IMPORT it rather than just opening it. You can also export it as an ascii file too if there is a problem witht he FD export.

True story, I was dealing with a producer who couldn't import because he just wanted to be able to click on the file and have it open in FD. I explained how easy it was but he refused, so I sent him a PDF.

You get the same problem with MM FD files because they need to be imported too.
