"Sorry, Wrong Number" -- although it's not in the horror genre, it scared me enough to avoid ever getting involved with dashingly handsome but unbelieveably poor guys.
In the realm of real horror: I think it was called "Night of the Trifids," about these killer vines. Scary!

A really good film that I have enjoyed was the Amityville Horror remake. We had the cinima pretty much to ourselves. Which probably made it easier to understand as no one was screaming/answering their phones/making out/eating popcorn or even throwing pop corn behind me.
Another good film I like a great deal is SAW. I really liked the concept. It could have been better but the man in that creepy mask was really well put together.
I forgot about The Fly (1986), Them!, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Legend of Hell House, Magic, Night of the Hunter (technically not horror, but still freaks me out), and, of course,...
I'm most likely alone here, but I really liked "In The Mouth Of Madness", I saw it in the theater and loved it but when it was shrunk down to fit on TV it lost a lot... but I found a wide screen DVD of it a few years back and still think it's really good... but Iâ€TMm a Lovecraft dork.
