Kitner, now that last line is pure comedy!

Ire, it's okay, we all post drunk sometimes.

What? Tragic dark movie + time = hilarity.

All right, I was just going off of BT's post about people being wired differently.

But who hasn't laughed their ass off at a guy who can't remember five minutes ago?

No alcohol was consumed prior to this or the above post. I'm just wired that way.

"Clue" is a pretty great comedy. Swear.

Only because you were starving, Kintner.

Was it when they slipped the fiance the mickey and he... wait for it... threw up a lot? Was that the funny?

The only reason people laughed at this was because they were desperate and cued.

Funny, but I'd never heard of it until you mentioned it, and then I'm channel surfing and come across it on cable. I watched a little of it, but I'm going to have to see if it comes on again.

Let me one-up my praise for Vince Vaughn. Not only was his performance award-worthy, but the pairing of him with Wilson in this film is probably the greatest comic teaming of the last 25 years. Better than Lemmon and Matthau, better than Wilder and Pryor, Better than Martin and Lewis. This film is a throwback to the greatest dialog-driven screwball comedies of the 30's.

(If all you got from this was funny golf pants, you should stop watching comedies. They're not for you).

Not since Cary Grant did the Awful Truth and Bringing Up Baby has there been a breakthrough like this.

I notice you didn't list your top ten. All I know is that you like The Party, which I havent seen. Peter Sellers can be brilliant when he plays it straight, as in Dr. Strangelove and Being There. When he tries to play funny, as in The Pink Panther movies and Casino Royale, or Fu Manchoo he is godawful. And Blake Edwards is a hack.

Edited to add: of course I meant Peter Sellers COULD be brilliant.

                    Martin and Lewis...

                    Lemmon and Matthau...

                    Wilson and Vaughn?

You're toying with me, right? Is there a camera on me right now?

                    I shall return.

                      Wow.

The guy did some hacky films, but to label him a hack across the board?

                      Wow.

Re: 10 Greatest Comedies of All-Time

Alright. Perhaps I was too harsh. I have never seen Breakfast At Tiffany's (nor do I have any desire to), and I really liked Victor/Victoria (but as a remake, I can't really give Edwards too much credit) and of course 10 was good (but it wasn't the directing that i liked *elbow to ribcage*).

I'm sorry, but I can't stomach any comedy (Pink Panther, Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber and the like) that's supposably funny because the character is incompotent.

Edwards was a promising director who became a hack in the 80's.

Anyone who is well, knows that Vince Vaughn deserves a nomination and that Wedding Crashers is one of the top comedies of all time.

I've said it before. The others should check themselves into hospitals because they are not well.

Just because we're all wired differently doesn't mean some of you weren't wired poorly.

                          Thank you.

It's not a great comedy and Mickey Rooney stinks it up, but it's totally worth it for Audrey. This movie is better than porn for me.
