〉Isser joins over 180 Launch Pad writers to land representation.

Launch Pad Feature alum Jacob Isser has signed with Eric Williams of Zero Gravity Management. His feature script H.O.V. (HIGH OCCUPANCY VEHICLE), described as Horrible Bosses meets The Hangover, landed in the Top 10 of the 2014 Launch Pad Feature Competition.

The script follows three childhood friends on the verge of winning a high-stakes rideshare competition when they pick up an extra passenger who turns out to be a fugitive on the run, turning their routine commute into the carpool from hell.

Our readers praised the script for its genuine, laugh-out-loud humor and great roles for comedic actors to sink their teeth into. It has the tried and true formula of The Hangover, but with its own distinct plot that is unique, clever, and rises above the rest.

Growing up in Ashland, Oregon, Isser got his start in the entertainment business at an early age, as a young actor with the world-renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. A graduate of Yale University with a B.A. in Cognitive Psychology, he has sold, optioned, and written projects on assignment, including the original feature Danny Graves’ Man Cave, sold to Joe Roth and Sony Pictures; graphic novel The Expendable One, adapted for Intrepid Pictures; and How the French Do It, a short story for Nikki Finke’s HollywoodDementia.com. His pilot Hosers was recently presented as a live reading at the Skirball Center in New York, in association with Fast Company and Black List Live. Currently residing in Los Angeles, he is a Tracking Board Top Ten Finalist, Script Pipeline Top Six Finalist, and was named to the 2015 Young & Hungry List.

In June of last year, his scripts Donny and Noah Get a Clue and Hosers were selected as part of the ATX Television Festival and The Black List script Competition.

Congratulations, Jacob!

Tomorrow, we’ll be announcing the Top 10 for the 2016 Feature Competition and on March 31, the 2017 Manuscript Competition opens.
