    O BROTHER WHERE ART THOU

I know this is a bit of an old film but each time I see it (which is about a dozen, counting tonite) it endears itself to me more and more. I love this film! It's brilliant writing and filmmaking where each frame is a gem.

    Gushing will now conclude.

I can understand why you'd gush over this film. It do look good.

Far from the Coen's best work. But certainly watchable.

        This isn't the Howard Johnson's.

I dunno, Whitenavel. It might be. I'm a fan of the brothers too, but I really like this movie. It maybe the pinnacle of their careers.

I'd say it's their most watchable.

            Clooney has never fit better.

I remember laughing out loud when the movie first came out and I saw the title "O Brother Where art Thou" . I said to myself I'd never watch this movie. I admit I based this strictly on the title. One day I was bored and it was on HBO. I said what the heck. I was very suprised on how great the movie was. Now it's one of my favorites.

Good flick. High level story material for the basis of the screenplay. It was pulled off quite nicely.

My favorite Coen brothers film. Visually stunning and written crisply. The odyssey as seen by three southern refugees.

"Why you lyin' unconstant succubus"...."whoa whoa whoa. You can't swear at my fiance"............"Oh, yeah. Well, you can't marry my wife"

Not to mention the music is INCREDIBLE.

Yeah, I'm goona go buy me the soundtrack. I love that song they sang as the Soggy Bottom Boys.

IMHO it's the Coen's second best behind another fave of mine "Fargo".
