Can anyone recall a film in which the POV shifted from one character (or characters) to another?

      Lemme get some clarity here.

Do you mean where it's starts with one character as the "protagonist" but then switches over to a second one at some point, and finishes on the second.

whistle - maybe. we're after pov's that conflict and contrast. One person thinks they see things one way - the other sees something else. Switch at some point totally if that works..... Go is a good example. It has to work, can't feel like a cheap trick.

Well, "Psycho" is close. We see everything from Janet Leigh's POV, and then when she checks into the motel it shifts primarily to Norman's. Her story is subsumed by his at that point.

Isn't "Tokyo Story" about the family who invites the parents to the city?

Yes. The POV switches in the 2nd half.

Pacific Heights. Micheal keaton and so on. Starts with him, then to the couple as he become the antagonist.

yeah, the POV switches b/t the Parents and their Kids through out but at the end, Noriko (their daughter in law, married to their now-dead son) kind of takes over. Maybe Ozu is a bad example? not sure what you're looking for

Roshomon. Surely all you film nerds have seen Roshomon.

(PS -- Roshomon is good enough that even non-film nerds can enjoy it.)

Not sure if we're talking about the same film, but this film-nerd saw a film called "Rashomon".

Yeah, it definitely doesn't happen often. I have one script I've been planning for years where it does, though. But check out...

                              PSYCHO
