I saw it this afternoon and liked it. Woody Harrelson and Robert Downey Jr. were hilarious as Keannu's stoner friends. In fact, towards the end of the 2nd act there was a big chunk where they hadn't made an appearance and I wanted them to come back. One cannot subsist on Keannu alone, though he wasn't terrible.

The plot wasn't overly convoluted. The ending was a little predictable, but it worked.

It was good, but it was no Blade Runner.

Really enjoyed it. Alternatingly surreal, funny, and suspenseful. Saw the ending coming from pretty much a mile away, but enjoyed it nonetheless.

Completely agree that Downey and Harrelson are hilarious. Really enjoyed Rory Cochrane as Freck.

Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was disappointed. The "comedy" wasn't funny. It was like some bad SNL "stoner" skit. And the Substance D "menace" was never really shown to be anything more harmful to society than a couple of guys smoking weed. I would have loved to see them spend less time on the animation and more time on the screenplay.

You think? You guys never like anything. This ought to be the standard boilerplate for every movie reviewed in this forum.

Other than all the characters continually pimping TD Waterhouse, I liked it.*

ASD was mediocre in my opinion. If it was great, I'd be yelling that to the back row.

But it wasn't. I wish it was.
