Check out the trailer New Line Cinema and Joel Schumacher's "The Number 23" (starring Jim Carrey and Virginia Madsen) by hitting the link below. The film opens not surprisingly on February 23, 2007.

I read about this guy - He was an unkown with a spec script - Energy Enertainment picked him up as a client from an email query - 3 weeks later his script was sold with Schumacher signed on to direct.

Sounds too good to be true - but I read the article.

I read the screenplay. It's terrible.

So it's no surprise that Joel Schumacher signed right on.

Without getting spoilery of course, what didn't you like about the script? Judging from the trailer, the film looks to be somewhat promising.

Trailers can be so deceptive. And Schumacer is a pretty lame director. But I agree it did look promising.

Yeah point taken - but where's your Hollywood movie then?

Yeah, 'cause if you don't have a Hollywood movie, you're not allowed to comment on a script you've read.

No that's not true - I just think saying someones script is crap when they've landed a Hollywood deal is a little bit arrogant.

Who knows maybe is was crap? Maybe thekeenguy is a far better writer?

Having read all 2500+ pages of Stephen King's 19-obsessed Gunslinger/Dark Tower saga... I'm not hopeful for real answers about anything in this movie. It seems like he was really reaching. In truth, you can make up coincidences around any number.
