  • Peter Jackson's "Bad Taste"

    I saw this on community TV last night ... and it was so weird I couldn't stop watching it.

    One thing you've got to say about Peter Jackson, though, is that he doesn't let budget get in the way of a home-made movie.

    This movie had, for sheer scale :
    * Zombies
    * Aliens
    * Ninjas
    * A chainsaw massacre
    * A house taking off and becoming a space ship
    * Plenty of automatic weapons
    * A rocket launcher
    * Plenty of explosions
    * A customised car
    * Plenty of ripped-off limbs / sliced open heads
    * A thank-you in the credits to his Mum & Dad

    If someone was honestly going to tell you they were going to make a movie like that with no budget, what would you say ?

    I could have sworn that I saw Fran Walsh's name buried in the credits too ... but IMDB doesn't list it. (Though does list Peter's Mum & Dad)

    Impressive,

    Mac

    I say classic. Cult Classic at that. I love Jackson's early work. Rent another of his early films: Dead Alive.

    It's extremely comical about the over-indulgent gore in it; although the lawnmower scene is shear brilliance. Hahaha...
