Fangoria has posted a rough trailer cut of ROGUE. The new horror film from Aussie Wolf Creek director Greg McLean.
"An idyllic Australian wildlife cruise disintegrates into terror when a party of tourists are stalked by a massive man-eating crocodile. Pete McKell, a cynical American writer, joins a disparate group of holiday-makers on a river cruise through the waters of Kakadu National Park. They discover a secluded lake but terror strikes when their craft receives a powerful blow from beneath the murky depths and begins to sink. With little choice, they beach the vessel on the closest dry land -a tiny mud island. With a rising tide and only half an hour of daylight left, fear grips the group as they realize they are trapped in the lair of a 'rogue' crocodile, governed only by its need to hunt and kill"
For any of you "non" Australians reading this - let me inform you that giant crocs are in fact a reality here in Australia, however they are in remote areas of Western Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory. I got chatting to an American guy in Honolulu airport last year, and he was under the impression that Kangaroo's and crocs are everywhere in Australia - even in populated cities. Fortunately giant man-eating crocs are not - crocs and Kangaroo's usually inhabit the rural parts of the country - not the major cities. However it has happened where people have gone missing or are later found half eaten in some remote wildlife parks. So next time you fly into Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane its highly unlikely you'll step in Kangaroo or Croc sh!t.
But next time you're at the "top-end" of our great Southern Land, and you're thinking about having a little swim - you may want to adhere to the warning signs first
