  • Small Roles with Big Impacts

Click here to check out Entertainment Weekly's list of twelve small roles in cinema's past that had a certainly not small impact on audiences and movie culture itself. A couple interesting choices on there to say the least.

Certainly can't disagree with Ned Beatty in Deliverance.

Huh... with a few exceptions, that read like it was put together by nineteen-year-old interns.

Adam Brody in Thank You For Smoking pretty much ruins the credibility of that list.

Well, that one miss aside, it does feature a few solid choices.

Hell yeah. His one cuckoo clock monologue ran circles around Cotton.

                    Huh?

These had an impact on "movie culture itself"? The drunk girl from 40-YOV? The camp counselor from WHAS? Adam Brody from TYFS? Doogie Howser from Harold and Kumar?

What a terrible list. With the exception of Alec Baldwin I can't agree with a single choice.

                      Where are:
                      Sloth - Goonies
                      ED209 - Robocop
                      Slim Pickens - Dr. Strangelove
The Chief - One Flew Over The Cookoos Nest
                      Frank TJ Macky - Magolia

and those are just off the top of my head.

As usual a diffinitive list put together by someone else completely sucks.

Walken and Hopper in True Romance. Walken in Pulp Fiction. Walken in Annie Hall... just Walken. That's all.

Come on, what's the average vintage of those movies, 1998?
