I thought this was one of the most emotionally beautiful films I've seen in a very long time. I can't recall if Gosling got the nod for it, but he sure as hell deserves it. I know the writer was nominated and I think she should have a real shot. The audacity in Nancy Oliver taking on this idea and believing she could make it work is really something.

Another female writer. First movie. Screenplay Golden Globe and Oscar nomination. Also within the top 3 2005 blacklist alongside Juno.

I loved this movie. There was an eerily similar Twilight Zone episode back in the day, but whatever. Still done well, and the director is someone I've always wanted to work with in the advertising world (guess those days are over for him).

I was also amazed that Gosling somehow made the role uncreepy...no small feat.

Before this film came out I was e-mailed a documentary called 'Guys and Dolls'.

It's fascinating, and a becoming a profitable business.

If you can watch this without feeling a wide range of emotions, check your pulse.
