Alright. I need a second opinion from some other Horror fans here. I watched this Fearnett original feature film this morning, and frankly...I feel cheated and satisfied at the same time about the ending. It stars Shannyn Sossamon and Pink.
-On her first trip to Paris, a young woman(Shannyn Sossamon...whom I have a crush on in real life) hits a party in the Catacombs, the 200-mile labyrinth of limestone tunnels under the city that's lined with the remains of 7 million people. Separated from her friends, she becomes convinced that someone or something is chasing her.
-The city of romance sits 100 feet above the world's largest catacomb.
It was written and directed by Tomm Coker and David Elliot. The story has a fantastic pace, and oozes cool atmosphere...but something about the ending made me feel uncertain about my overall opinion of the film. I have to say it was good and every Horror should watch it, but...well, it felt like being mugged when you have like $11 in your pocket...no big loss, you know. I want to see what you guys think of it.
Coming from the underground dance music scene myself, the soundtrack is excellent, and for once we have a pair of film makers who know how to shoot an underground club/rave environment. Paris is practically the birthplace of Techno--not techno as in electronic dance music that everyone and their brother calls 'techno music'--I mean real Techno....the Techno scene(Laurent Garnier, Dmitri from Paris, Jori Hulkkonen...the actual genre of Techno).
What do j over, Signal, Mulloy, martell, Cyc, and the rest of the Horror contingent, have to say about it? It's FREE and in your On Demand cable option under FREE MOVIES...then under FEARnet. It's in association with Lions Gate, and is FEARnet's 1st original feature film, and is a pretty unique and entertaining Horror film....check it out.
