  • Minor roles that steal films

Need a little help here please, guys. Trying to compile a list of those small parts which help to define a film.

The key is that the role has to be SMALL, yet be one of the first things that come to mind when you think of the movie.

What i'm looking for are your Alec Baldwins from Glengarry, your ED209s, the guy with the mohawk and the ladyboy from Mad Max 2.

    Any thoughts?

jack nicholson in easy rider has always been my favourite.

Bronson Pinchot as Serge in Beverly Hills Cop is the first thing I thought of. Also, Salma Hayek in From Dusk Till Dawn... she gets about five minutes of screen time, but she owns that film.

Good thread. Here's a current one: Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Charlie Wilson's War. Of course, he's a scene stealer in just about anything he's in. Same goes for William Macy.

Don Cheadle in Devil in a Blue Dress.

A decent noir thriller that went absolutely electric as soon as he showed up.

I loved him in this. I've never paid attention to him before but now I notice him in films.
