Is it just me or is there a tad too much black going on here?

They all look kind of stupid, until you get to Dennis quaid, who just looks absolutely ridiculous.
Frosties are just Cornflakes for people who can't face reality.

Ya know, I was in a zone there, I really was, and then I saw Quaid, and man, I just, ya know, totally lost it...

This has DOOM written all over it.

I always thought that the costumes were far too interesting and unique to the characters. Much better that they all wear the exact same non-descript uniform. Plus, it makes it much cheaper to mass-produce the bodies for the toys and just screw different heads onto them.

Really, at this point, what is there left that seperates this film from a thousand other "special ops vs. terrorists" movies currently on the DVD market?

If you meant to type 'too much bad', then no, it's not just you.

These look like the suits the henchmen wore in the XXX sequel. Barfo.

The problem I see -- from a strictly production/costume stand point -- Is that real life BDUs and tac gear look far BETTER than these costumes ever will.

If you've seen the latest battle gear for not just U.S. troops, but international forces (British; Philippine; Russia; Japan) as well... They look like the real versions of what the toys and cartoon were trying to convey way back when, but just better because of them being the real thing.

Here are some pictures that convey precisely the dilemma I think the costume designers might be faced with:

                http://www.renegaderecon.com/images/...duscott_rr.jpg

Even though these are for airsoft games, the uniforms (BDUs) and other gear (vests, helmets, etc.) is real. And they look pretty damn cool, IMO.

Now, how do you wardrobe a cast for a movie based on a cartoon and toy line where most of the character outfits were actually pretty bland and close to 1980s BDUs and not have it look dated, or hokey?
                Positive outcomes. Only.

                  looks atrocious.

                  quaid is absolutely laughable.

                  wow.

I'm pretty sure that if Stephen Sommers stood over a reel of celluloid...dropped trou...squatted...and dropped a huge turd over the reel, it would probably turn out better than this will.

                      lol @ Dennis Quaid.

Channing Tatum looks like the bastard child of Jango Fett.

                      This'll be funny.

Everyone's had their laugh at Dennis Quaid's Hawk ... but I'm crying over Storm Shadow. My entire childhood just got wiped from my memory after seeing that photo ... that coat ... that shiny gun in the holster ...

The only part actually cast well is Ray Park as Snake EYes. Everything else is a joke.
