    Good point MacG.
But I read that the writing of this script and the making of this film was stressfull on a physiological level.

Moonraker's Hugo Drax had a plan to exterminate 99.9% of the world's population and breed a new master race aboard an orbiting space station. What does Dominic Greene want? To fiddle with Bolivia's water supply and make a bit of cash - well whoo hoo.

First of all, my wife and I both loved Casino. In fact, we watch it whenever it's on satellite. It never grows old for us. With that said, as much as we loved Casino, we hated QOS. We went with three others (from 15 to 55 years of age) and all gave it big thumbs down. The audience we saw it with (packed house in Dallas opening night) came out of there saying they were bored, it didn't make sense, the editing sucked, etc.

This mirrors my experience exactly. It was very disappointing and not a patch on the Bourne movies it tries to emulate. I didn't like the dark and dingy look of the film, either, though I did enjoy Daniel Craig's performance.

I don't understand how anyone likes these movies. Casino Royale was so dumb and such a poorly structured script. They were in the poker game. Then they left it. Then they went back in it. Then they left it. I mentally tuned out the second the "portable heart attack saver" made its appearence in one of the most clumsily written and exectuted scenes in recent memory. Oh, and there was the classic case of not knowing how to write. The "three months later" time jump. I can't bring myself to go see this second one as I heard it's somehow worse than the first.

Ben, please write something that makes sense so we know you're real. Your response to Mac had nothing to do with his point.

Wilson, Casino Royale, with its unique structure, is an experimental screenwriter's dream.

Casino Royale was bad. Real bad.

Quantum of Solace is ten times worse.

Funny, I didn't think Casino Royale was experiemental at all. It was a terrific action picture and one of the best Bond flicks ever, IMO.
