"I ask every producer I meet if they need TV specs they say yeah. They all want a 40 inch display that's 1080p and 120Hz. So, I quit my job at the West Hollywood Best Buy."

One that comes to mind is in FaceOff when John Travolta (pretending to be Dad) gives daughter a knife. And later daughter uses the same knife on John Travolta.
Shaun's best friend Ed, consoling the boy in the Winchester after being dumped:
"You know what we should do tomorrow? Keep drinking. A Bloody Mary first thing, a bite at the King's Head, couple at The Little Princess, stagger back here and bang... back at the bar for shots. How's that for a slice of fried gold?"
Which pretty much is what follows the next day in Shaun of the Dead, a whirlwind of set-ups that pay off much later. I've watched the flick dozens of times, and every time I find something I didn't catch previously. Just watched it again the other night, and finally got the Reservoir Dogs reference.
I mean, just how many movies have used a fart as the set-up to a climatic poignant moment?
Speaking of "glass", Chinatown's setup/payoff is one of the great ones.
