Looks fantastic. I loved the Wrestler, this guy knows how to write 'em, and apparently, direct them, if the trailer is anything to go buy.

Patton Oswalt has got some acting chops on him, too.

I actually met Patton Oswalt a few weeks back at Golden Apple comics here in Los Angeles. He was really nice, considerate, and cool. He seems to get better with every movie he does.

Y'all should check out Robert Siegel's interview on creativescreenwriting.com ... very interesting interview. This script (Big Fan) was written before The Wrestler, and it's the one that got him the Wrestler gig.

I finally saw this.

It's a decent little film with an interesting internal conflict, but nothing really going on externally. It's the kind of story that would work much better in book format. But even so, I was disappointed in the end. Nothing was resolved at all - perhaps because there wasn't much of a plot, and thus, not much of an external goal. I wanted to see Patton's character stop being such a "vegetable", but apparently that's not what this movie is about.

Oh well. I still enjoyed it.
