That's because while he is wrongfully convicted of murder and incarcerated, he doesn't spend the film trying to clear his name. Which is what the OP wants.

It's okay to think outside the box -- never know what the OP is writing and these movies might help. I don't think naming Shawshank is a crime. I would have too...

True Crime -- It's Eastwood trying to help Isiah Washington... so it's not the same as the main character clearing their own name -- but it's a great movie.
