    With 2010 upon us I thought a thread like this might be apropos.

    I tried to do a favorite 10 but it was too hard so here's a favorite 20. Even then I felt like I was betraying at least 30 other movies.

                  Good you have There Will Be Blood on your list, Keen. Some say it was slow and boring. I say it was a modern day masterpiece.

                          I'm adding Crash too.

                          There have been plenty listed here that I agree with but I think what this thread really shows us is how amazing this decade has been for filmmaking - despite all the doom and gloom about the end of cinema as we know it.
