  • The Black Box (2010) - My first real producer's credit

Yeah, as much as I've been trying to get this writing career off the ground, sometimes you just have to make your own way. A few years now I've been helping friends out on projects left and right, but now, I finally have a feature film coming out, figured some people might be interested (I could be wrong lol)

    Anywho, details details:

This Friday night at Midnight, Black Sunday Films and Infested Films present:

    The Black Box:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uj1dd7Mpr_s
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1727364/

A new horror anthology from underground horror cinema's craziest
including Jonathan Lewis (Black Devil Doll), Buz Wallick and Andrew
Kasch (Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy), and David Sherbrook
and Scott Dawson (The Morning After) starring Tiffany Shepis, Joe
Pilato, Joe Lynch, Michael Bailey Smith, Sid Haig, James Duval, and
introducing Lindsay Shelton, Lina Bubisa, Dean Michael Griffin, Zack
Fahey, Jim Tavare, and Chuck Rockford.

    Synopsis:
Eight year old Bobby is a strange boy. Between spying on his teenage
sister's sexual exploits and peeping at his prostitute mother in the
nude, he loves to watch the midnight horror shows on TV. When the
host of Bobby's favorite show begins to speak to him, the people in
his life suddenly appear in his favorite shows, and the lines of
reality and fiction begin to blur.

Tickets are now available and selling fast! Only $6!

Awesome. Big congratulations are in order. Please keep us posted if this finds its way into more theaters or avenues of distribution.

Congrats mate. It's great to see people going for it and not letting anything stop them.

I hope you have a great turn out.

Thanks everybody. We premiered it, had a bunch of our friends and family come out, overall it was a fun time, and we'll be able to get some type of distribution with it, even if it's just DVD. (Some midnight cult programs probably would take it as a single run for some theaters, I have a list of ones I could easily set up).

It gets tough, especially for writers, and it's easy to get discouraged, but watching your movie with a theater full of people is that gratification you always look for, everything you're working for up until that point. Totally worth it all.
