Loved him. I'm a Canadian and I look forward to lots and lots of wonderful tributes here on our media for a long time to come. Wonderful dramatic actor turned comedic genius. You have to have a great dose of modesty and self-deprecation to do that.Comment

I don't normally comment on these threads (purely cause any reminder of my own mortality has me reaching for an anal thermometer) but this guy was comedy genius.
When I used to share a house with a mate a few years back, not a day went by when we didn't quote him and Naked Gun. Three favourites-
Any situation where you have to admit or own up to something.
"uh that'd be me. I've been swimming in raw sewage. I LOVE IT!!"
Any time when things are getting close to a real argument.
Look... It doesn't matter who used all the butter..."I'm sure we can handle this like mature responsible adults. Isn't that right Mr... Poopy Pants!"
Anytime when someone comes up with an idea better than yours.
"why Jane that's brilliant. That's a lot better than what I came up with.'
And many more. That man has made me literally laugh to tears. King of the reaction take who often made utterly tat modern-day spoof films credible.
