    That's too bad and sad.

    He was great.

He and Dudley Moore can now get hammered together in the afterlife.

Wait... there is no afterlife. Okay then, this sucks.

        He was certainly something.

Mel Brooks, The Zucker Bros, Jay Roach, John Landis, The Farrelly Bros. The Wayans Bros. etc, etc, all owe him a tremendous debt.

I was a little disappointed that he didn't thank Peter Sellers during his acceptance speech for the Honorary Award at the Oscars. But I knew they weren't exactly the best of friends.

Hope they both make God laugh in Heaven.

        RIP

Very sad. "The Party" is one of my favorite comedies.

The opening shot of Breakfast at Tiffany's it one of the best ever. Told you what the movie was about without telling you. By the end of the film and you look back, it all made sense.

Re: Blake Edwards has passed away

I copped from "Return Of The Pink Panther" one of Peter Sellers / Blake Edwards directed deliverys for inclusion in my farce per Closeau's ramblings below:
                - Douvier would shoot me on sight.
                - Not if he doesn't recognize you.
                - And he won't.
                - Why not?
                - We will leave that up to the great Balls.
                - The 'great balls'?
                - At your service! Please forgive
                the condition of my establishment!

Damn...they just don't write dialogue like THAT anymore ;-(... -- well -- at least I'm trying!
