Yeah, I thought the same thing. I loved that film so much.

And then Animal Kingdom in the top 10? Please, that film was a rip off of so many DECENT crime flicks. Most overrated of 2010. But each to their own.

My top 3 of 2010 - because I know you all care - are (#1 being my fave):

      1. Inception
      2. Winter's Bone
      3. Boy

I loved ANIMAL KINGDOM. I actually think his top 10 is kinda interesting, if only for the LAKE MUNGO #1 slot. I really liked LAKE MUNGO on one viewing, but I can't tell yet if it's going to be one of those seminal horror films that lays structural and stylistic groundwork for future movies. It's amazingly unsettling for what turns out to be SPOILER a fairly realistic explanation for the supernatural elements.

I'm going to go ahead and assume he didn't see The King's Speech.

The Town was so bad, therefore, his list must be considered incorrect. Also Black Swan is nowhere to be seen on either list? Dis guy ...

i don't understand why you care what's on his list.
don't you respect your own opinions?
or did you just to laugh at some of his ridiculous choices?

combined, Get him to the greek and grown ups grossed nearly 400 million dollars. I'd be happy to have the worst movie on Carson's list every year if it grossed anywhere near that.

And it beats me why you care to care about what we care about.

I respect my opinions and stand by them. We all have a right to disagree with someone, like some may to this opinion I am making. It can sometimes be called "conflict", which is what makes the stories we write compelling and keeps the world spinning.

Pretty clear from this thread that any of us could reveal our top and worst films list and the reaction would be the same. Really, there is no reason for this to be a thread. None of these lists matter and they will all generate equal hate.

Scriptshadow has never been about his opinions, it's been about the information he provides.

I gotta agree with Carson on WINTER'S BONE. Sooooooo BO-ring. And depressing. I just missed the appeal of that film. I think his choices are pretty right on. I also hated YOUTH IN REVOLT, ALICE IN WONDERLAND and GET HIM TO THE GREEK. They all sucked big time. I now want to see ANIMAL KINGDOM, FISH TANK and CATFISH. BTW he admitted in the intro that he hadn't seen BLACK SWAN, KING'S SPEECH or TRUE GRIT. I thought THE TOWN was awesome, no doubt about it. I didn't love INCEPTION. Last night I watched his #1 pick, LAKE MUNGO, on Netflix streaming and I must say it's a damn good horror movie. BLACK SWAN is better of course, but it was a good little flick that stayed with me all night. My faves:

                            SALT
                            BLACK SWAN
                            MICMACS
                            THE TOWN
                            KICK-ASS
                            HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON
                            RESTREPO
                            THE CRAZIES
                            TOY STORY 3

Lists are divisive. They're also fun. If you're not interested, don't click the post.
