And mine as well by a long shot. Such a superb film.

I have to agree with Arroway. You must be SMOKING FVCKING CRACK to call Winter's Bone one of the worst films of the year. It may not be your thing, fine, but to call it one of the worst films of the year is just an injustice IMO. It's too well made, acted, and written.

btw Winter's Bone was my favorite film or 2010.

    True.

Just, every single thread about SS ever has ended the same way. Posting a list of his top ten is just saying, "Hey DD, start fighting again over nothing."

@Arroway: It wasn't "bad." But for me, all the hype made it seem like WINTER'S BONE was gonna be some sort of hidden gem. I was just expecting much more. When it all plays out it's so dull and I'd rather spend my two hours with different characters. Not too interested in seeing that cross section of the Ozarcs unless there's some sort of pulpy story weaved in there. In this case, the story was...lacking. IMO. Oh, and Carson's no idiot.

I gotta agree with Carson on WINTER'S BONE. Sooooooo BO-ring. And depressing. I just missed the appeal of that film. I think his choices are pretty right on. I also hated YOUTH IN REVOLT, ALICE IN WONDERLAND and GET HIM TO THE GREEK. They all sucked big time. I now want to see ANIMAL KINGDOM, FISH TANK and CATFISH. BTW he admitted in the intro that he hadn't seen BLACK SWAN, KING'S SPEECH or TRUE GRIT. I thought THE TOWN was awesome, no doubt about it. I didn't love INCEPTION. Last night I watched his #1 pick, LAKE MUNGO, on Netflix streaming and I must say it's a damn good horror movie. BLACK SWAN is better of course, but it was a good little flick that stayed with me all night. My faves:

    SALT
    BLACK SWAN
    MICMACS
    THE TOWN
    KICK-ASS
    HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON
    RESTREPO
    THE CRAZIES
    TOY STORY 3
    THE OTHER GUYS

And it beats me why you care to care about what we care about.

I respect my opinions and stand by them. We all have a right to disagree with someone, like some may to this opinion I am making. It can sometimes be called "conflict", which is what makes the stories we write compelling and keeps the world spinning.

combined, Get him to the greek and grown ups grossed nearly 400 million dollars. I'd be happy to have the worst movie on Carson's list every year if it grossed anywhere near that.

The Town was so bad, therefore, his list must be considered incorrect. Also Black Swan is nowhere to be seen on either list? Dis guy ...
