    Trying to remember a film

    from my childhood. i believe it opens up with a Saturday Night Fever esque shot of someone in a business suit walking through a building lobby and stepping on someones hand. another scene is some homeless woman freaking out and screaming in a soup kitchen. also I believe there was a scene involving an outdoor construction zone with one of those big yellow excavators. also i think it is in the comedy genre. anyone know ?

    This sounds a lot like Mel Brooks' Life Stinks.
