Re: Oscar's Best And Worst Moments

I agree with all Harbinger's points (except I think The King's Speech deserved its awards, as much as I also loved The Social Network).

I'd like to give Franco the benefit of the doubt and try to believe he was paralyzed by nerves. Some actors can't do live.

My vote for next year's host: Stephen Colbert.

      Best things...

Jennifer Lawrence in a Baywatch-inspired dress.

      Worst things...

      Pretty much everything else.

          I would watch that!
Someone else said Toy Story was robbed. *checks oscars.org* Best Animated Feature?! Over The Illusionist? That was a big disappointment for me, although hardly a surprise. I never watch the ceremony and this one sounds like the worst one in a while.

Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson reunited as co-hosts with good material would be a classic
and if they're teamed up for this new project you can market all the way to the bank...

I'm just sayin, and of course this assumes they'll have time when they done starring in one of the thirty scripts I've written for them
...ok, so they haven't exactly said yes to any of them... or seen them... so at least they haven't said no

Ellen DeGeneres was pretty good. She's very witty and likeable.

I didn't even bother to tune in. I watched movies that I like, instead.

Yeah. Ellen did a fine job some years back. But Colbert? Meh. I'd love to see Seinfeld or even Kimmel do it, myself.

The thought process just wasn't there this year. The telecast wanted to snare younger viewers with younger hosts but forgot that they had to actually be funny too. End result: ratings down all across the board.

You must need a Morphine Drip watching Eddie Izzard.

Kimmel & Carolla would be fantastic. Too bad it'll never happen.

Best thing about this year's Oscars:

                          KIRK MOTHERFVCKING DOUGLAS

Worse thing about this year's Oscars:

                          RANDY FVCKING NEWMAN

Excedrin Migraine. Red Bull. Fade in.

This shebang needs Russel Brand and Ricky Gervais.

But first the entire population of America needs a transfusion of humour and an antidote to taking themselves too seriously.

Would dearly love to see Stephen Fry host the Oscars. They could even enlist his old comedy partner Hugh Laurie.

Hugh Laurie and Fry would be great! My highlight of the Oscars was Amy Adam's blue sequined dress, and gorgeous emerald jewelry. I am now officially coveting someone else's clothes and jewelry. Not normal for me, but this is indicative of how boring these Oscars were.
