Ascent - Space Shuttle Launch Footage

This was shot by cameras set up around the shuttle launch pad so engineers could study the footage, and the commentary provided gives some detail about the cameras and what we're seeing.

Quite frankly, it's amazing footage. It's 45 minutes long, but some of the scenes are almost hypnotic. Good stuff. If you haven't seen it, check it out for a few minutes.

Very cool. Could've done without the narration -- at least upon initial viewing -- otherwise it was amazing stuff.
