    I think it looks great.

That said, anything titled KILLING THEM SOFTLY reminds me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uebBTVdbErE

Should have kept the title COGAN'S TRADE, but overall it looks pretty cool.

My only concern, going solely on the trailer, is this: there's a fairly large cast, and everybody gets to do something in the trailer - except Pitt. He just kind of stands there and talks. And he's the main dude in the story. Not doing much of anything.

It could just be a poorly-edited trailer, but I hope he has some cool and interesting stuff to do.

If there was one criticism I could raise against TAOJJBTCRF, it's that the focus seemed a bit off to me. I hope that doesn't happen again here.

The script is really good. I'm afraid though the trailer will fool movie goers like Drive did. This is not an action movie. This is a crime drama. And I stress drama. It has great dialogue and characters. It's a throwback movie. I hope it does well. Gandolfini's character is awesome, though his screen time is limited.

It's a Quentin Tarrantino type film. So lots of cool convos.

And I think this is why I don't have high hopes for the flick. I'm still going to see it, but the trailer absolutely looks like any number of Tarantino-type "gangster" movies. Kinda like IN BRUGES. I enjoyed that movie, but didn't love it like a lot of others did.

I'm kinda getting tired of this whole genre of quirky, talkative gangster flicks.

              Brad does pulls a trigger.

Trailer has me interested to see a movie like this. I believe my expectations would be in check. It's been awhile since I've seen something in this genre with name actors, something that wasn't straight to cable, yeah, maybe In Bruges.

Depending on the theater release, I'd be up for seeing it.

Looking forward to seeing Brad Pitt playing a hard a$$. Trailer is interesting, but hopefully they cut a better one that will interest the general public to actually go see it in theaters versus waiting for DVD/Netflix.

This really looks awesome! Love the tone and mood it's going for.

Ray Liotta might just steal the show with his performance.

Loved Andrew Dominik's CHOPPER! Eric Bana's finest hour!

Saw this last night and really enjoyed it. Great performances all round, with echoes of Tarantino, In Bruges and slow-mo sequences which seem to be de rigueur.

                      Re: Killing Them Softly

I didn't get the Tarantino vibe but I did enjoy it. Annoyingly, Pitt looked hot in just a leather coat, t shirt and shades. The guy's pushing 50 and still looks better than I do!

Excellent, excellent dialogue. It was a joy to listen to and gave me calm reassurance that quitting screenwriting was the right decision.

Just saw it. Perfect combo of art house flick and crime drama.
