  • Short Term 12

Got back from a screening of Short Term 12 at the Seattle Film Festival tonight. It was such an incredible experience that I just wanted to share it with whoever is willing to listen.

It's about the kids and workers at a short-term care facility. It's actually quite funny (the director mentioned after the film that it isn't exactly the easiest sell to movie-goers), as well as heart-breaking.

I guess it won some award at SXSW, and I'd love for it win at SIFF as well. I'm not that great about heaping praise onto something (it always feels a teensy bit forced), but this smaller movie most certainly needs to passed around.

I can't find a trailer, but here's the website which has nothing on it really:

I hope at least one person watches it because of this.
