A fairly unremarkable flim, except for:

    1. The Afternoon Delight song. That was a great scene, especially their comments between versus. And well sang. They must have practiced a lot. But well worth it, imo.

    2. For every story I tell for the rest of my life, I will have a character named Titz McGee.

edit: damned profanity filter. Since when is **** considered profane?
Screenwriting is like stripping. You don't just dump your clothes on the floor. You tease as you go. And then you get screwed in a back room for money. - Craig Mazin

You'll find out just how unremarkable the film is when a year from now you don't remember those scenes/references.

Anchorman may be unremarkable, but it is funny. Amusing set pieces, hilarious lines here and there. Time well spent.

As a comic actor, Will is above average in my opinion.

Jack Black's cameo was golden, though.

It's one of those movies that gets funnier each time you watch it.

The way Jack kicked the dog off the bridge was so funny to me. That's what I remember about watching it in theaters.

I was just thinking about these lines this morning.

"You are a smelly pirate hooker"
"Why don't you go back to your home on whore island"
"I'm gonna punch you in the ovary, that's what I'm gonna do. Straight shot. Right to the baby maker"
"You are a real hooker and I'm gonna slap you in public"

                      Re: Anchorman

Ron came off to me as a re-accuring character from SNL that was given a movie. As a whole, the movie came off like a stitched together series of skits/gags from SNL as well.

there are some real comedy gems inside the movie; some great lines, scenes, bits and character moments. But, as a whole, the movie is not funny. Not at all.
