  • Amelie

Thought it was interesting during the first 20 minutes, then was bored with it. Great camera work, though. Just didn't care for the story.

What's the deal with this movie? You look on IMDB and people you'd think the movie could cure cancer or something. One noodnick actually declared that viewing this movie will absolutely change your life. I always find people that believe such things to be a little touched in the head.

Anyway, did anyone else find this movie to be overrated, or did it 'change your lives' as well?

I fell somewhere in the middle. It didn't change my life, but I do think it's a great, great movie.

      Re: Amelie

Not life changing, but very good and inspiring from a technical standpoint.

Why can't more movies (comedies, especially) be more visually daring?!
      It's a celebration, bitches.

i loved it, but it wasn't a life changing experience. most people i turn on to it really enjoy it.

        and audrey tautou is hot.

Same. Thought it was a great film, and turned it on to several others who thought the same. Did my life change immediately afterwards? No. But a pretty good film on all levels none the less. And yeah, Audrey Tatou is HOT.

This film did change my life.

I became an Audrey Tatou stalker.

I know Audrey personally. She's been concerned about this guy who keeps following her. I'll give her bodyguard your number.

You'll have to beat up "Ross" first.

THIS MOVIE IS A SHINING EXAMPLE WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER, EVER, EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE AGREE TO BE INVOLVED IN ONE OF THOSE "HOLIDAY POT LUCK BUY PRESENTS FOR PEOPLE YOU DON'T KNOW VERY WELL SECRET SANTA" THINGIES.

I wish a camera was rolling when I opened up my "Secret Santa" gift to stare at the DVD version of Amelie.

                        "Thanks. Thank you very much."

                        My holiday season was ruined.

A slam from Billy is often a recommendation to the rest of us.

                            (sorry billy.)

25th greatest movie of all time? No way in hell. 225 or 325 maybe, but 25? Whoever believes that needs their head examined.
