I tape all his episodes and just watched one.
I'm usually a nervous wreck hoping the guy is the baby's father, but man, I just seen this one little baby . . . he wasn't pretty. For the first time, I was hoping the guy wasn't the dad. I was even hoping the mother wasn't the mother but she was. Turns out the guy wasn't the father and he ran off stage all coordinated, like an athlete.
I then noticed the poster of my baby picture on the wall, directly above the TV like we all have, and placed it next to the baby on TV, split-screen. I had to tape the poster and step back to get a full view.
I hadda call the show. I must'a did mom when I was drunk and don't quite remember how awesome I was.
So I called. The Operator said, "The Maury Povich Show." I said, "I think I'm the baby's daddy." She said, "Really." I said, "Yes." She said, "Why?" I said, "Could you repeat that? We got a bad connection." Silence. I said, "Are you there?" More silence. I hung up and hit redial.
She said, "The Maury Povich Show." I said, "I think I'm the baby's daddy." She said, "Really." I said, "Yes." She said, "Why?" I said, "I think I know you." She said, "We just talked." I said, "Oh . . . I'm the ugly baby's dad." She said, "You can't be. We knew you were gonna call again and asked mom if she did you. The mom said no." I said, "Oh." And hung up.
