  • American Idol Final 4

Lakesha is great with big, Dream Girl type songs, but she's a little too one dimensional. Jennifer Hudson had the pipes, plus she can act. I can't see Lakesha doing that for some reason.

Blake has always been one of my favorites. I think he's the most original and unique talent they've had in five years. But he may be too unconventional for a pretty conventional show to go all the way.

Melinda is by far the best singer this year; probably one of the best they've ever had. She's my favorite this year, tied with Blake. But her age may hurt her with some of the younger voters.

That leaves Jordin. She's an amazing talent for her age. Although she's more conventional than Blake and not as strong as Melinda in terms of voice, I think she has the combination of talent, youth appeal and bubbly personality to win it all.

And that's my prediction: Jordin to win. Blake to place. Melinda to show.

I don't know what's wrong with me, but I just can't watch this show. Everytime I've tried, I had to switch the channel out of boredom. It reminds me too much of a high school talent show.

As a rule, I feel the same way but somehow end up watching anyway. It's 90% filler, 5% singing and 5% judges/Ryan.

      Why do I care?

Seriously, I don't know...it's for sure not the music (Manilow, Gibb, Diana Ross) but it seems like there must be something else that brings me in.
After was all gendarmes and dick stitches...

I haven't watched a single episode this season. In past years I would rush home to catch it. That's what happens to reality shows -- eventually they become more predictable than a regular TV series.

Well, it might hurt Jordin that she is a vocal opponent against a woman's right to choose. She's performed at several anti-abortion concerts in the past, and a lot of people aren't going to be down with that.

Didn't hear about Jordin and the pro-life stuff. I'm strongly pro-choice myself. At any rate, I still think a lot of kids will vote for her. And those kids don't care about the issue -- unfortunately.

Regardless of how it all turns out, it strongly points that between Melinda and Jordin they will both be at the top, as Blake and Kiki (I like to call her) will be booted out.

Although, Jordin is young and is only 17 years old, she alone has the potential to go far! Melinda has just as much of a chance than anyone else!

But, over all -- I'd never watched Idol before last year, when Hicks won.

I never got into it before, these past two years has really opened my eyes to watching AI - so to those who are bored... I'm sorry to hear... but I like the show.

              I'm rooting for these kids!
