    RIP Tom Snyder

    The great television host Tom Snyder has passed away at age 71. I watched him pretty regularly when he hosted the Late late Show on CBS before Kilborn took over. I also knew him from a lot of archive stuff over the years and I just really liked the guy. I liked how this guy could just sit down and have a conversation with anybody. Seeing him interview punk rock icons is classic.

    Patti Smith, The Jam, Adam Ant, Pistols... first time I was able to see a lot of these bands... was The Clash ever on?

      The man was pure class. One more of the good guys is gone...

        He also had a subtle sense of humor that made his delivery and his interviews all the more entertaining. He could have gone farther. Like as in Larry King.
