That's a joke, by the way. A cynical one (with free rationalization), but a joke.
    Signal:

If you pitched that idea with reality, contestant, and talent show personalities as the victims, I think you have a potential financial bonanza. I think you could even throw in a guest investment banker on Bloomberg's Friday Market wrap and they would give it a trial 13 week run.

    Also kidding !

It's a slow human sacrifice of Paula Abdul, brain cell by brain cell. The same thing happens to the viewer.

Yes, as a matter of fact, it does!

Indeed, NCIS is getting strong ratings and it climbs every year. It's a good show, combines humor with the detective procedural.

I've never watched NCIS, I just looked at the ratings for last season (what people actually watch). They seem to like that AMERICAN IDOL show - does that involve human sacrifice?

Did you think NCIS took a turn for the worse in season 5? I am halfway through with the season on DVD... and it's mostly about "the moments" now... obviously they've already had their share of season-long threads on the characters... Gibbs, Tony (secret mission), and McGeek (writer)... what else is there to do? Oh yeah, reinvention.... I heard about what happened at the end of the season...

Not porn, but an invention of, I believe, Harvard Lampoon in the late 70s - Nude-O-Vision. You press a button and the clothes vanish!

If this were a serious thread - more AMERICAN IDOL and DANCING WITH THE STARS and NCIS... the shows that people actually watched.

Oh, and super glue on the Lazy-Boy.

I liked number 13 on this list. If only Comcast would credit me cash for anything that I watched that I indicated via my remote that I thought was moronic or would best appeal to a character from Idiocracy. Within months, with that kind of cash flow I could have a large check mailed monthly to my new residence at a beach on the French Riviera

Make more shows like Lost. Take chances. TV seems to be more willing to take chances than film.

Wait a minute. Is this a serious thread?

Bah! ... now who really watches porn on TV anyway?

I love the faux quote from Fox on the DVD: "We're sorry!"

The other link is pretty funny, too.

As for #11, that would definitely get me to watch TV again!! And it should've been #1. (their choice for first is too obvious... lame.)

That's some funny sh1t. Here's alink to an old issue of a mock TV guide this guy in the UK used to write.

    http://www.tvgohome.com/

He said he stopped doing it because the rise of reality TV meant that the stuff he was coming up withjust didn't seem all that far fetched anymore. Gotta love Grief Digestion at 11:00pm.
