I doubt this script will see the light of day before viewing as I heard Joss Wrote weeks before shooting, but who knows it might turn up.

The "writer's first draft" script has been scrapped? Haven't been following the news on this show, is Joss reshooting the whole Pilot, parts of it, what?

The original shot pilot hasn't been scrapped but has now been bumped to become episode #2.

A new "prequel" episode is being written and shot and will air first. Allegedly, the network wanted more of an origin story.

It may be a smart move, I struggled to make heads or tails of the Script, I mean I knew it was smart and Epic and all things Joss-like. But v.hard to follow.

I see, that sounds... uh, potentially like a bad network decision of piling on info we probably would have seen spread out over the season. But with any Whedon series at the moment; the more episodes in the can, the better.

I loved the pilot. Now I'm a little worried. It was the perfect set up for a brilliant concept. To take things one step earlier is only going to detach us from Echo's character. I guess it might work to better set up the detective, but still... Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I really enjoyed the original script alot. I didnt find it that confusing. But I can see why FOX would want to make it a bit broader for most audiences to get.
