I just got done with the Isolate Thief. Very good story about a boy alone in a log cabin in the woods. What good script have you read lately?

Re: Script Recommend Thread
Like everybody else, during my writing breaks, I'm working my way through the
Black List, but I really liked THE GIRL WITH THE RED RIDING HOOD.
Obviously, it retold the story of Little Red Riding Hood, but it had love triangles and werewolves. Nice little period piece. For some reason I just liked it.
PRISONERS and HANNA were cool to read. They didn't strike a cord of envy in me, but they were nicely done.

Read THE DAYS BEFORE and loved it. Best sci-fi I've read in a very long time.
I'm currently reading TRIPOLI and it's excellent. Highly recommend it.
I loved THE ISOLATED THIEF until about page 80, when the villain made a pretty stupid mistake that I just couldn't forgive. As a result, the rest of the script just didn't work for me.QUESTICLES -- It's about balls on a mission.

Re: Script Recommend Thread
THE VOICES by Michael R. Perry is amazing--hilarious, disturbing and tragic all in the same breath. Reminds me of AMERICAN PSYCHO, but more disturbing and more "inside the mind of a serial killer".
Also recently read AMBROSE FOUNTAIN, which was a solidly written horror story. We really come to care about the characters and the situations--very well developed. However, while the first half holds many spooky scenes, the second half and, especially the end, must have every horror cliche in the book. So--fantastic first half, questionable second half.

Read it a few months ago, but
BIZARRO SUPERMAN by Robert Gordon
was a fvcking insanely fun read. Also love
LAW ABIDING CITIZEN by Kurt Wimmer and Frank Darabont
which brings together two of the best writers in the biz. The movie was really cool too!
