  • Vanity Fair on John Hughes

David Kamp did an in-depth article on the father of 1980s teen films. I liked the first sentence, which should be the mantra of every writer: "John Hughes never stopped writing."

The Oscars ceremonies are going to do a special tribute to the man. http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/02/17/...oscar-tribute/

          Beautiful article..

Written with love and respect for the man, his life, family and his work..

          Good stuff..

Reading that you realize how prolific he was..

I have some fond memories of his movies.. They had a universal appeal.. Says a lot for his talent as a story-teller..

          Thanks for the memories..

          Inspirational..

Reading this made me pick up Sixteen Candles and Pretty in Pink on DVD.

I'd love to know what tracks made up the i-Pod he sent to John Candy's son and was subsequently used for Hughes's funeral service...
