PTA's The Master & Inherent Vice

Has anyone read Inherent Vice or the newer updated version of The Master (or even just the older version)?

Vulture had an article a while ago implying the Inherent Vice script was making its way around Hollywood, but I think that its probably in pretty tight lock down along with any newer versions of The Master.

If you've been lucky enough to read either I'd love to know what you thought.

the first version of The Master is very unconventional, and it's not surprising it had to be rewritten to get strong financing behind it. That being said, PTAs a hell of a writer/director and could probably pull it off. It'd be kinda similar to Punch Drunk Love in quirkiness but better.
