Have you all seen that NYU has recently released a Purple List of unproduced scripts from writers in their grad school program.
Here are the loglines.
In my opinion, it's not the most impressive bunch and some don't really feel like loglines, especially THE WHISPERING GIANT.
I don't get what that one is about. So this woman has all of these..."assets" (?) but for some reason she can't get married in this particular West Virginia town. Is there a particular reason why she can't get married? I don't get a sense of the conflict whatsoever from that logline.
Chosen by a panel including actress-director Jodie Foster, writer-director John Sayles, writer-director Karyn Kusama and other industry professionals, the screenplays on the Purple List are production-ready or in pre-production and seeking financing. Different judges will be selected every year for the panel.
