  • No Screenwriting Nomination for Prisoners?

What's up with that? I do not get it. It was nominated for no awards at all.

Was Blue Jasmine really a better script? A better application of craft?

I sometimes feel Woody Allen gets nominated unfairly over other writers for lesser works, acknowledging that he HAS written some really fantastic work.

There seems to be a tremendous amount of good will towards him.

Can't believe he won for something as middle of the road as midnight in paris.

Really did think Prisoners was going to win because original screenplay this year.
It's the eye of the Tiger, it's the thrill of the fight

I agree 100% with you - I was really sad to see only the one nomination. Great script, and the story of how it came to be is really inspiring for any young writer.

Kudos to Aaron G. and Adam Goldworm for making this happen - it was years of development - and in the end it was my favorite of 2013.
Write, rite, wright... until you get it RIGHT.
